OUR STAFF

Staff at Acorn Heights are skilled and trained in the care of older people and those with dementia and mental health issues. The majority of care staff hold specialist vocational qualifications. In addition, they undertake varied training courses to ensure they have the skills and confidence to offer great standards of care. At Acorn Heights we believe in person centred care, with residents being treated as individuals. We have a care plan system in place which allows us to learn about our residents’ history – from their backgrounds to their achievements; about their working and family life and their likes and dislikes. This really helps make our residents feel happy and secure.

Acorn Heights is managed by Anita McLaughlin Registered Manager, an experienced manager with over 8 years in the care industry, and our Care Manager, Natalie Heaven who oversee the smooth running of the home. They can also be contacted though the Contact Us section of this website.

In addition, our home has a large team of ancillary staff including cleaners, cooks, activities co-ordinator and a handyman. They support our care and nursing staff in the daily running of the home.
